The Greek name for a butterfly is Psyche, and the same word means the soul. There is no illustration of the immortality of the soul so striking and beautiful as the butterfly, bursting on brilliant wings from the tomb in which it has lain, after a dull, grovelling, caterpillar existence, to flutter in the blaze of day and feed on the most fragrant and delicate productions of the spring. A morning spent greedily gathering poetry,
to feast on,
to sustain me.
My arms laden with inspiration,
I gobble up stanzas of rhythm.
Eagerly I indulge in your keen observation
and savour your sweet shrewd wit.
I sigh in contentment
after my perfect breakfast.
Now it is time for me to compose,
I may have eaten too much.

Rising into Father Sky`s fathomless blue,
Golden life force, burning, warms my naked flesh,
Lay upon Mother Earth`s deepest quilts of greens,
Breath of life drawn deep into souls bottomless well,
Each cell vibrating to loves perfect frequency,
Delightful thoughts skip through an emptied mind.
Purple gates held invitingly wide, each step precise, deliberate,
Predicted by ancestors whispered lore,
Passed on by those who flew before.
