Birdhouse by Eliel Lyn

Can you sing me a song?
Of the world, all around you call home
Like a bird sings its song
But in darkness you're left on your own But you're more than what they make you
You have more than they take Once so pure, ready to fly
To live, and to love, and to thrive
But you have been caged, feathers torn
Abandoned, abused, and alone You've been set free
You can fly away
The cage you were in
Is now a birdhouse
Now you're free to find your way Home ain't too far
It's where love is, that's mending your heart
It's your rescue, it's your escape
Now, your home is no longer a cage
